Suggested Student Journal Prompts:


At various times throughout the project, the students will respond in their journal to the following prompts

  1. What did I already know about the topic?
  2. What did I learn today (this week)?
  3. What did I accomplish this week?
  4. What did my city team accomplish this week?
  5. I feel best about...regarding this project
  6. I am frustrated about....regarding this project.
  7. My goal for tomorrow is to....
  8. What resources have I used so far?


At the conclusion, the students will evaluate the project by responding to the following questions:

What did you enjoy the most during this simulation?
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this project?
How will you apply what you learned from this experience?
What resources did you find to be the most helpful?
What would you suggest be changed the next time this project is done?
