Something exciting is happening in our class. We are going to be e-mail pals with a Third Grade class at Bardwell School . We will be sending e-mail messages back and forth.

It is going to be great you will get to make a new friend plus you will get to communicate with them by using the computer. You will be sending and receiving e-mail every week. You can see what other third graders are learning. Your e-mail pal may even be able to help you learn something new, or maybe you can help them learn.

Here is how it is going to work:

1. First, you are going to pick a name from the container. This will be your e-mail pal for the rest of the year.
2. Next, you need to think about what information you should tell your pal about yourself.
3. Then, think about what you want to know about your pal.
4. Now, sit down and write out what you want to put in your e-mail message.
5. The next step will be go to the computer and type your message into the e-mail form.(You will need to click on the button below to get the correct e-mail form.)
6. Be sure to enter your e-mail pal's name on the "Subject" line.

7. When you finish entering your message, follow the steps you learned for sending e-mail and send the message.
8. Check the e-mail on the computer in a few days for your reply. (Remember, it might take your pal a couple days to answer your message.)
