LInC ACT Sample Student Reflections: Revolution

While doing the revolution project I liked how we were able to be in a group. This was helpful because different people had different ideas that are good. I think this project was easier than others because we could work at school instead of home. We were able to ask questions about it anytime. I thought that it was challenging to find pictures to fit the project and also to find the true information Sometimes when my group was looking we would find two different pieces of information and we didn't know which one was better to put in. This project was different from others because we didn't have to use any at home objects, we just needed to have computers at school. I would give advice to people who will do this project. Don't put a lot of information in. The audience might get bored and some information might filler. Finally, I think that we should do this project again soon it was a lot of fun.

I really enjoyed being with my best friends. The challenging part was searching for information. I liked this project and it's different from other projects because I got to do it on the computer and used PowerPoint. I did like participating. The project actually was the most fun I have ever done this year. My advice to others is to make sure you are doing team work and cooperate with others. Find solid info about your topic. Make sure you do a nice job and that you are happy with it. I think my teacher should plan more of these kind of projects. It is a good way to build up your cooperation.

I enjoyed the "revolution" project very much but in some ways disliked it. I liked it because we shared our ideas with the whole group. Also, it was my first time using moviemaker so it was fun learning how to use it and narrating it, because your voice sounds so different. I didn't like it for a few reasons such as it was kind of hard to find just the right pictures. Also, there were many technical difficulties such as the computer freezing without us saving our work so some parts got lost.

The project was challenging because sometimes we disagreed and got stuck on some parts such as trying to find the information on each genre of music because we did the Musical Revolution. The "Revolution" project was very different from other projects in school because usually we do projects as assignments that were done at home and that were about subjects we didn't get to choose but we chose what kind of revolution we want to do. I liked that better because we got an opportunity of choice.

If someone else were doing this project, I would tell him or her not to procrastinate and to put your best effort in. Also, I would tell them to put useful information in with a good amount of pictures that go with the information that they give. I think that my teacher should plan more of these projects because they are fun and very different from other projects.
