Goals and Objectives
Goal
The goal of the Facilitators' Academy is to develop a network
of educational leaders who will train other educators to effectively
use technology for engaged learning.
Objectives of Facilitators' Academy:
- The purpose of the academy is to teach the participants
to:
- Provide advanced training in engaged learning and best use
of technology.
- Provide knowledge, materials, and strategies to assist participants
implementing staff development
- Provide suggestions for building support and buy-in within
your district for staff development training in engaged learning
and best use of technology.
- Provide a support network for you as you teach your course
and refine your skills.
Learner Outcomes: Engaged Learning and Best Use of Technology
- Upon completion of this course, the facilitators will
know how to:
Help participants come up with and narrow their initial project
topic.
Critique project proposals and scenarios and constructively
encourage participants to incorporate more engaged learning indicators
and effective use of technology.
Encourage and focus online (and face-to-face) discussions.
Anticipate (be aware of) and help people through the most
common technical problems.
Assess projects.
