Goals and Objectives

 

Goal

The goal of the Facilitators' Academy is to develop a network of educational leaders who will train other educators to effectively use technology for engaged learning.

Objectives of Facilitators' Academy:

The purpose of the academy is to teach the participants to:
  • Provide advanced training in engaged learning and best use of technology.
  • Provide knowledge, materials, and strategies to assist participants implementing staff development
  • Provide suggestions for building support and buy-in within your district for staff development training in engaged learning and best use of technology.
  • Provide a support network for you as you teach your course and refine your skills.

Learner Outcomes: Engaged Learning and Best Use of Technology

Upon completion of this course, the facilitators will know how to:
  • Help participants come up with and narrow their initial project topic.
  • Critique project proposals and scenarios and constructively encourage participants to incorporate more engaged learning indicators and effective use of technology.
  • Encourage and focus online (and face-to-face) discussions.
  • Anticipate (be aware of) and help people through the most common technical problems.
  • Assess projects.
