This page will outline the tentative meeting schedule and topics we will discuss for each week. Note that the exact date for each class has not been filled in. The night we meet will be decided upon once participants have been selected in order to best accomodate all of our busy schedules.

 

All classes will meet at 3:00 PM in the Macatawa Bay Library/Computer Lab and will last until 5:00 PM.

    November 1: 
    Practice using the Components of Engaged Learning;
    Hook Activities, Authentic Task Activities; Student Direction
    Activities 

    November 8: 
    View Proposals; Evalutate Several Proposals;
    Brainstorm Project Topics 

     November 15: 
    Discuss Possible Topics; Brainstorm Feasibility
    and Components; Begin Writing Proposal 

    November 22: 
    No Class this week. Happy Turkey Day!! 



    November 29: 
    Discuss and Evaluate Proposals (Self-Eval. using
    Rubrics, Peer Eval., Discussion with Facilitators 

    December 6: 
    Begin Writing Student Page(s); Student Directed
    Break-Out Sessions 

    December 13: 
    Discussion of Quality Websites,Work Time on Pages 

    December 20: 
    Finalize Pages and Present Projects to Each Other

Finally, it is our sincere hope that we can get together once more in the Spring to discuss the successes you each had in implementing your lesson plan. Think of it as sort of a reunion - without Aunt Edna's bad potato salad!
